Is this a fitting time to buy a house within Austin, Tx. or should I lurk a year?
Answers: Austin (my hometown, btw) is still growing by leap & bounds... we're not anywhere near dimensions yet and individual a regular Money Magazine "Best Places To Live" means our growth is expected to verbs for quite some time.
While any verdict to buy is neighborhood/subdivision dependent, and highly personal to boot, if you plan on one in the greater Austin metropolitan nouns for three or more years, it'd be silly to not get a foothold within the real estate flea market ASAP.
Buy now... homes are appreciating between 4%-10% per YEAR and it doesn't produce financial sense to continue renting for another year.
Hope this help,
TX Griff
Of course it's all simply going to be speculation, but like the other individual said, Austin has be growing immensely the past 5 or so years, and doesn't really show much sign of slowing down. Most actual estate agents are saying "buy now", as prices hold going up and up, especially as you get closer to downtown, but physical estate agents always articulate "buy now". It's anyone's guess how long it will last, but for me instinctively, I just bought a house surrounded by the city in pretty much the later area that I could afford (East Austin), and it be nearly impossible to even get that one because emergency is so high. It might run a while to find the right house for you (or the right house for you that doesn't already have 2 other bids on it), so it probably wouldn't be a impossible idea to start looking presently, then when something you resembling does come along, you can pounce.
