I need suggestions for the best way to dry herbs from my garden.?
Answers:
If you have some old screen or an old sheet will work just as good, support wire or hang sheet in air for good circulation in a garden room or garage. I use a patio table that is made with wire mesh,I just scatter herbs around and then turn after a day or so, then strip from woody stem and keep in air tight containers, Good Luck

Cut the stems with leaves attached, tie in small bundles, hang in a warm place until completely dry. You can cover with a paper bag to keep dust off.

The best way to dry your bud... er... oregano and such, is to put them in a clay jar, or dark plastic bag in a cool dry place, and let time do it's thing. Just make sure not to pack too much stuff in one bag/jar
Many people in Sweden cut long stems, tie in bundle, and hang in their kitchens. They also do roses to keep the color and shape.
I've used a food dehydrater, but they don't hold much.I've used the lowest setting on the oven, thats a speed method that works in about two hours, loosely arrange stems leaves and all.Tie in bunches and hang up anywhere thatsun doesn't directly shine, that takes a week. When dried, pull leaves off and store in airtight containers to preseve natural oils.
