I own a portable air conditioner & it works well for awhile ;then stops and I have to push the reset onplug?

It's drawing too many amps for the circut. Most all household wiring is rated to 50 amps. Try upgrading the breaker to 20 amps. If this don't work then you need to turn it down some because it's working too hard. If then the house don't get cool enough, you need a better or additional untis in other rooms.
umm.. I have one of those (it's great by the way) Are you using the timer to turn it on? If so, it will only run as long as you set it. There should be a way to bypass the timer. Owner's Manual?
Your tripping the breaker. You need to increase that particular outlet's power by installing a more powerful breaker in your house's fuse box. I recommend getting an electrician to do it, you wouldn't want to chance a fire by doing something wrong.
