We have tiny bugs on house. tan, size of pinhead, six legs? 2 feelers on head, only seen evening/night. ID pls

They are amost oval in shape. Our house is old and has wooden shingles under newer siding. I think the bugs have something to do with damp wood. I have sprayed pestiside in the window sills where we see them alot and the next day the are back. Any ideas on what they are or how to get rid of them would be appreciated.

Answers:
i would guess they are springtails. and yes-- they consume detritus and decaying plant matter like damp wood.

they really pose no threat to your health (theyre a nuisance more than anything), so i wouldnt get too upset. id imagine that the exterminators would need to bomb the whole house to get rid of them, but they might return since you havent resolved the rotten wood problem.
