How do i get rid of ants?? HELP?

there is no food around so food is not why they are around, our basement is finished and that seems to be where they all are! jsut started yesterday and i have probably killed over 100 of them just yesterday, and more today. my boyfriend put stuff around the outside of the house, but they are still coming in, any suggestions?

they are large ants too not small ones, they seems to liek the bathroom i find them the most in there.

Boric acid and sugar mixed in equal parts should kill them. The ants eat the sugar, the boric acid sticks to the sugar, the ants feed the queen the boric acid, the queen dies, the colony goes away.

dont buy the stupid ant bait motel thingies...they dont work
i dont know what its called...but you squeezze a drop of this stuff on a little piece of cardboard....the ants flock to it and kill all the other ants ..........ask the people at the store about it
