Is there a way to rid your yard of earwigs without using chemicals?
Answers:
Try fire! No maybe not a good idea. Ask a lawncare service they would probably know. Or an exterminator. Ladybugs, even though they are cute are a natural predator to insects but I don't know if they would work in this case.
Why do they call them earwigs? That's a weird name. Aren't earwigs something that was invented to help people who's hair was falling out of their ears?

find another insect or animal that will eat them and get it. birds will probably eat them you just have to attract them.
use ur hands!!!hahaha
vinegar
Good luck to you! Man, these are so hard to get rid of. I don't like to use chemicals, either, but it's even hard to squish these buggers! They pinch, too, so the birds won't even eat them. The only way I got rid of them was to keep the area under my birdfeeders super clean.
I don't know, but I'll be checking back for other answers!! We also find them inside occassionally. I can't stand them, and was told we had to use chemicals on the grass outside. Wow...
Are they doing any damage, is it possible to stomp them, whats a earwig anyway?
They are totally disgusting, I agree.
So, I've been trying to get rid of the myriad of bugs in my yard that come into my house (especially ticks, another disgusting summer visitor) and I've been spreading diatomaceous earth around. It is toxic, but ONLY to things wtih exoskeletons, but totally non-toxic to humans, other animals, etc. They sell it in the pest control section of hardware stores....it looks like flour, and if you spread it aroud, I think when the little buggers crawl on it it dries them up (or something like that.)
Since I started using it, there has been a serious decline in bugs. I put it all over the yard, and then totally around the foundation and doorways of my house.
Anyway, good luck!
