What are white worm like things inside fly?

i killed a fly..not sure what kind and it had little white worm like things that moved. what are these and do they die outside the fly or can they spread?

Answers:
they are maggots--baby flies. The fly you killed was about to lay it's eggs/maggots on something. Drown 'em in Windex or something.

They are maggots, or fly larve. The flies lay their eggs in dead things and then the maggots hatch into flies. They should die after you killed the fly, as long as you squashed them well!
