Soap scum (residue) in the shower???. . . on the walls...doors...?

curtains...floor... which requires chemicals, and scrubbing, to remove . . .

Is it possible that the same soap scum is 'left' on one's skin? similar to the residue left in your hair, from shampoos???

Answers:
throw the curtains in the washing machine with an old towel and 1/2 the amount of soap and 1/2 cup baking soda, for the glass and walls use dishwasher grains on damp clothe....that is why you should use a faceclothe when bathing to get all residue off

Other answers:
Get Lime Away. It is supposed to be able to get rid of the scum on all those surfaces. As for the residue on your skin... your daily sweat and showering washes it away.

Only for a while, it biodegrades from the chemistry of our oil and sweat glands...and it can be eroded away from clothes, touch, and water/sweat. Aren't you glad you used DIal, don't you wish everybody did?
You can remove the soap scum from the floor of the shower with a 50/50 spray of vinegar and water. Wash your shower curtain in the washer using your regular detergent and add a cup of vinegar to the water. Stick a couple towels ib with the curtain to help scrub it. No chemicals. Doubt the scum is left on our skin as you rinse well and dry with a towel. Hair? I've heard that some people rinse their hair with vinegar to make it shiny.
