I live in an old brick house .How can I find out just how old?
Answers:
Try a title search on the property. County courthouse records might have the information needed. The old deeds usually have the information if the property changed hands several times over the years. Occasionally old surveyor notes will have the property buildings listed as well. Hope this helps.

go to city council they may have records of when it was built or ask a builder most can give you a pretty close answer by looking at it.
If it has the original toilet in it sometimes you can lift the tank lid and it will have a date on it.
Your local council will be able to tell you the exact day it's building was completed.
Go to your local courthouse and see if you can find a deed or title for your house and property. If you rent, see how much info your landlord has. If you bought the home, contact the real estate agent or the seller, if possible. The information shouldn't be that hard to find.
Check with the city or county, depending if you live in town or not. They'll have all the records. It's the only benefit to the property taxes we all pay.
