is this bad for your venus fly trap?

my venus fly trap doesn't have anytraps to eat any bugs, i cut off the traps because they turn black. now the traps won't grow fully on the other leaves. they keep turning black so i pinch them off. its been 2 months since they had any head to catch anything. is this bad? what should i do? any help? thanks :)

Well, flytraps use their "traps" to catch insects as a source of nitrogen. Presumably, nitrogen can also be absorbed from the bacteria in the soil so I wouldn't worry too much about it. =)
