I just bought a 16"x42 dolphino pool..Just curious as to go about chemical use. chlorine bromine..etc.?
Answers:
Buy yourself a test kit and dose to suit the needs of the pool. If it is fresh water, Chlorine should be used in granular form and shock dose with liquid when needed. Bromine is good for hot spas as it does not break down the the warmer water as chlorine does.

Does it not tell you that in the owner's manual?

Baquacil is the best not as caustic as the others. Direction are on the container.
It bothers me that the place you purchased the pool doesn't offer any sort of "care and feeding" information. Take a water sample to a pool store and ask for help. They will teach you what you need to know.
