Is it a problem if my house is set on 24 inch centers instead of 16 inch centers?

no...24" & 16" are both standard centers... basically 16" centers provide more structural strength if your gonna have more than 2000 sq.ft of area & more than 2 floors... otherwise 24" centers is more than adequate for a single floor structure
