do i need to open my fireplace damper if I am burning scented candles?

Answers:
I don't. After the fire burning season, I close my damper to keep the heat from coming in during the summer. I burn scented candles in almost every room in my house all spring and summer without opening the damper or the firescreen or the glass doors in front of them.

Other answers:
no you do not.

by opening the damper it will create a flow of air out... which is scented...to keep it in.. keep it closed...

also it does no good for cooling purposes to open it considering the shape and position of them( the opening is close to the ground and not the ceiling where the hot air is.)
