When is the best time to plant tulips?

I own mine planted. Purchased in Lidle 20 bulbs for lb1.49.
midnight. Go out within your back garden, surrounded by just your pant & loudly start shouting about have to dig up the garden & stand final & watch as the neighbours sneak a quick look out of their windows afterwards they call the police........great fun
Autumn time - so any time from presently would be good. I'm waiting for my summer bedding plants to stop flowering so I can verbs them up and plant my tulips.
Tulips like to jump in as slowly as possible - November is the recommended time for them.
Now! Perfect time of year to get them bedded contained by and ready for a splendid show within the spring!

Where do you live? In Oklahoma, I need to hang around till late November to plant bulbs, or the heat up fall nouns will make them sprout. Do it right past it starts to get cold within your area.
PS Out first frost comes mid October, but the ground doesn't freeze until much following.
