how do you figure square footage?

for example what is a 10 by 15 room?

Answers:
length times width = sq. feet length times width times depth= cubic feet.

Other answers:
150 square feet. Multiply the length 10feet by the width 15feet equals 150 square feet.
150 square feet. Multiply the length 10feet by the width 15feet equals 150 square feet.
you wouldn't think so, but this is a very complicated question. The easy answer is multiply the 2 numbers LxW = SF
so in your case 10 ft. X 15 ft. = 150 Sq. Feet

but if you need building footprint for lot coverage calculation then it is a different measurement.
If it is to calculate a lease it is to the center line of the common wall.
If it is to measure for flooring it is finish to finish but the calculation is always the same. length X width, that is, if the room is a rectangle or square. I hope this helps
length in feet X width in feet 15 X10=150 sq. ft.
Length times width (10 feet X 15 feet = 150 Square feet)
sq. ft.= length x width..

ur ex: 10' x 15' = 150 sq. ft.
