18' round above ground pool registering high chorine, low cyanide, low ph, low everything.Water is clear..
Answers:
Okay,
Don't swim if the chlorine is above a 5.0ppm. And, if your ph and alkalinity are low, it may burn swimmer's eyes. You should get your alkalinity to read between 80-120ppm. Use sodium bicarbonate to raise it up. Then, you need to get your ph to be between 7.2-7.6ppm. Use soda ash to raise that up. Low cyanuric acid does not effect swimmer's comfort, but does help to keep the sun from burning away the chlorine you add to your water faster than your pool can use it. Another thing you need to check is your Calcium Hardness reading. All of these things work together in keeping your pool water clear, swimmable, and preserving the life of your pool all together.

High Chlorine isn't a problem unless it's higher that 8ppm. The pool doesn't have a low cyanide level it has a low cyanauric acid level which is used for stabilizing chlorine so that sunlight doesn't burn it off quickly.. Without knowing how high or low each reading is it's impossible to tell you how to correct the problems. Take a water sample to any pool supply store and they'll set you on the right track.
