Answers: Running a wire that far to brand a 200 amp service (that is what most houses are) would have to be huge, because of what is call voltage drop. You should really have the power company come out...they should know how to move the line further down so you can build your service. Actually, what comes stale your house from the top of your weatherhead to the power pole is not even your responsibility anyway. You are asking the wrong people, christen an electrical contractor. Do you want to bury it or run it over head. The contractor will not impart you a price over the phone with out seeing what is involved. Does the power company require the meter be on the right of instrument ? If not the power company may run it "no charge" I had in the region of 600 feet run over cranium and the pole and meter set at no charge, the pole is about 50 foot from the house. If this is a brand new never lived surrounded by house the cost should have be paid by the electrician that did the electric wiring in the first place. It be his job to bring power to the house and tied contained by to the breaker box.
