Who knows of a non-toxic, environmentally safe way to eradicate wasps and yellow jackets who live in underground nests right next to my home and who have attacked people and our cats?

Get one of the pressurized cans of hornet and wasp killer that will shoot a stream of insecticide about 20 feet. Wait until after dark, when all of the wasps have returned to the hole, then spray a lot of insecticide into the entrance of the nest. Run like h*ll. Repeat this each night until all the wasps are gone.
