can you use muradic acid to clearify water in a pool?

Answers:
Muriactic acid 's purpose in pools is to do two things only.
1/ To lower Ph, when poured in front of a return.
2/ To lower TA (total alkalinity), when poured into the deep end of a pool.
That's it. That's all it does. You use it to get your water chemistry right. When your water chemistry is right, your chlorine works a lot better and you will never have a cloudy pool.
Acid, by itself, doesn't clear up a pool.

Other answers:
yes. works well in hot tubs too.

Be sure to allow 48 hours for the shock to wear off though...or you could be peeling off chunks of skin and clumps of hair.
