looking for a rural / derelict / unusual property in uk?

where can i find rural properties in the North of the UK advertised ?
i've tried loads of estate agents but all they send us is new "box houses".....
I really want an old house or farmhouse with land.....that needs work doing to it.
anyone know a website......?

look for house auctions. agents only want houses which need no work and will sell quickly for little effort.

Anything you find will probably be what a professional developer does not want, as they will be told about properties first. Decide for yourself why they didn't want it. To make it economic you will have to do some of the work yourself.
