Can i kill a gnats nest with ammonia?

I heard that if I poured a bottle of ammonia down each drain that it will kill the gnats nest that we have in our home.. is that true? we have tried bombing twice, and they came back right afterwards.. please help me...........

to catch the flying pests take vinegar and dish soap and put in a cup get saran wrap and cover the cup it... also use a rubberband...then poke a VERY small hole in it..u will see them trapped in the cup in no time...good luck

Do you have any indoor plants? Fungus gnats lay their eggs in the soil of indoor plants. You need to kill the larvae to get rid of the gnats. Since you can have eggs and larvae at the same time, it takes several tries to completely eliminate them.
