one of them found something.. and you dont spray the outside of your house like your suppose to.. spray the inside first.. then the next day spray the outside along the wall.. you should see a difference... home depot carries the same stuff as the pros

Most likely, they are looking for water. Also if you have leaks around your air conditioning unit or hose hook ups outside, they'll make a huge nest using that as their water supply. Check outside around your house for leaks at any water sources where ants may thrive. Seal the leaks, get some ant nest killer at home depot. There is this stuff by Ortho called Orthene Fire Ant Killer. It is a cansiter of powder. Sprinkle on top of the mound and it will kill the colony in a day or two. WORKS GREAT!
Ants come inside to look for food and water. They are scavengers. Heat doesn't matter. Ants also follow trails left by other members of their colony. Clean carefully around areas of entry. Chalk (not mixed with the liquid) and simple solution of dish soap and water are cheap deterrents. Ants cannot digest the dish soap. Keep a spray bottle handy.
got air conditioning?turn it off you dont think ants get hot?no get some boric acid in the powder form and sprinkle it on the thresholds of your doors. when few get back to the nest they will take the stuff in as food so it will kill the entire nest
