What is the best and safest way to controll Japanese Beetles in MI?
Answers:
The product that you spread is called Milk Spore you spread it in the garden in the spring and the fall. I did it the first time this year. Until this Milk Spore really takes effect which is after several applications I use a spray for plant bugs once a week. Good Luck with these horrible little creatures

there is a product sold at most garden centers that you spread on your lawn. It doesn't work instantly, but as the beetles hatch in the grass, it kills them off. The best thing is that it keeps getting better every year, until they are gone. Above all, do not get one of those traps that you put bait into. That only attracts them from all over, and you end up with more and more. (the best place for one of those is in a neighbors yrd...lol) Just remembered the name, MILKY SPORE

build a wall, call in the national gaurd to patrole the border of your property. and when you catch one deport it back to japan. LOL. treat for them when they are active. before they bore holes in the yard to lay their eggs.
