The best thing to do now is...spend a couple of years doing the right thing. Pay off your debts, stay at the same job, and stay away from high interest credit card offers that come as your credit score improves.
You can purchase just about anything with bad or no credit these days. But! Your interest rates will be through the roof and your payments will be more than the average person can afford. You usually end up with the kinds of loans that need refinacing before 5 years (or whatever the time limit is) because you just get what is left over and your subject to their greed if you make the mistake of screwing with your credit... you pay the price one way or another.
I was told by my banker its easier to get approved for a home loan then for a car loan. I have HORRIBLE credit and my banker said he's seen people get approved with a worse credit score then me. The reason; Houses appreciate in value and if you dont pay your morgage the bank is always willing to take your house ( Just not your car) . I would go to your bank and talk with your personal banker. There ARE options out there as along as you have the income. Good luck!!
