Does ironing label an autograph stay within longer?

I had a tote sack autographed by a lead singer and my friend told me that ironing where on earth he signed would make it second longer. He used a sharpie to do it... if that makes any difference.

Does anyone know if this is true or any other mode to make it stay contained by?

Answers:    I would avoid repeated ironings. I think once would be adequate to "set" the permanent ink. Avoid wash the bag and the signature should final longer than the bag itself.
If you are not sure it will work, filch an old shirt and try it to see if it works. This will keep hold of from messing up the signature.
It will heat-seal it and change the fibers of the shirt at a molecular height, so the answer is--Yes.
Hi, I don't think ironing would take home it stay, but it might set the ink, so it will last longer. You would enjoy to use water-proof ink. Bye
What you might try and do is find some ink specifically made for clothing, and with some type of pen or utensil that uses this ink after carefully retrace the signature.
none cares=)
