How can I prevent bees from building nests around our home as we have person who is allergic to bee stings?

Answers:
O.K. everyone thinks I'm crazy when I say this, but bees are attracted to people who are allergic! I'm living proof of this fact. I'm deathly allergic to bee stings. EVERY house I've EVER lived in has had a bee problem, literally holding me hostage from the outdoors(backyards, decks, balconies, etc...) When I asked landlords if there were bee problems, none of them had them. Bees would move in shortly after, and move away shortly after I moved out. TRUE STORY! Oh yeah, last year, best luck I had was with those curiosity traps. Bees get in, but they can't find their way out. Also, plant a garden...then they have a job to do and will pretty much leave you alone. Good Luck!

Bug spray. Happened to me before, but the bug spray got rid of them.

Attack them with badminton rackets

They are light and extremely swift.

Kill them all.

Spray the nest as soon as you notice one developing... They may learn to take their "business" elsewhere (for a while).
I'm sorry but to me bug spray can be toxic. HONEY and bee-keeping is done at Apiaries. I just looked up the word in search in Yahoo search and it comes up with a lot of options. do a search for "Apiaries" One time we had a yellow jacket problem in our house and a man from an Apiary came out to our house and took care of it. I think they work better than spraying some toxic material all over. They handle bees all the time because they are actually bee-keepers, but the formal or technical name is Apiaries. I know people have died from bee-stings so I know how dangerous antiphylactic shock can be. Good luck!
Try spraying bee killer where they build their nests...before they build it..and periodically spray the same spot during the time bees build their nests.
A bee will not build its nest on surfaces that are painted sky blue. I thought it was a crazy idea that my father had painting all the eaves of his house ugly but it worked flawlessly. No bees in over 10 years. Coincidence?
put moth balls in an old panty hose & hang them where ever you have bees.
