Is anybody else having a problem with gnats in their home?

Try setting out a small dish of apple cider vinegar. They'll go in it and drown.

I did, i heard it was from the sink drains. My friend told me to put bleach in the drains at night and put the stoppers in.
That and those dam beetles that pretend like they're lady bugs. My mom sucks 'em up with a shop vac.
I did earlier this spring. Check your screens, put fruit in the fridge and check your houseplants. This should eventually get rid of them for you. Also, if you have a damp basement, run a dehumidifier and make sure the basement door is closed.
I know this is going to sound crazy but if you will put a zip lock seal bag filled with water over your door nailed of course on top of the bag where you can still open the door you will not have any more gnats or any kind of flying bugs come into your home again this summer ,
As everyone else has suggested, they hover around your fruits left out on the counter, around the kitchen drain, and near the trash can...They are fruit flies, and yes, they are particularly bad some years more than others. Apple cider vinegar works, as does beer. I know, because I have set a glass of it down while cooking dinner, only to come back and find a bunch of them floating around in it. About all one can do is bait them with the attractant and put up with the rest, short of fumigating your home, that is.
