My family is considering moving to Dallas. Is there a big bug problem (i.e. mosquitos)? High humidity? Other?

Or asked another way, wait are the 'cons' to living in the typical Dallas suburbs? I can clearly buy my same house for 1/3 the cost and support myself w/ the local job market. I'm considering getting out of the rat race of Orange County, CA. Mid-30's married dad of 2 under 3 yrs old. Thanks!

Answers:
Hot and humid with lots of bugs, not many mosquito's though, to hot for them.
But Dallas is a nice area with plenty of things to see and do.
I would mention the traffic but living in Orange county the Dallas metro traffic doesn't hold a candle to the L.A area.

Other answers:
Hot, humid and bugs. Other than that, it's pretty much like every other big city in the country (or, at least the western part of it).

Tornadoes. Mosquitoes is a world problem.
Dallas is great but Fort Worth is better......cost of living is lower, better housing costs, less traffic, good arts, etc
High humidity.
