what is the best way to look after an aloe Vera plant?

Answers:
Well I inherited 31 plants 20 years ago and the aloe vera is the only one I haven't killed.I actually left it in a room I wasn't using for over a year with no water and it still lives to this day.Give it water when it dries out and a bigger pot when it grows, rip a piece off if you burn yourself and rub the juice on the burn.If it has babies transplant them to little pots and give them to lady friends, they will love you for it.

Other answers:
Put it in the sun and don't water it too often - once or twice a week according to how hot and sunny it is.

They're very easy to care for and almost impossible to kill if you water them occasionally.

u grind it up... and use it as lotion or cream .. am definite they last longer that way .
Aloes are susceptible to root rot if you water them too much. They should be allowed to dry out between waterings.
Indirect sunlight and scant water.
Make sure you always say "Hello Vera" every time you walk by it!
They're easy to kill with kindness. Make sure it gets plenty of sun, a well-draining soil, and only a little water. Their roots, like many other succulents, rot easily.
Aloe vera plants like neglect.they only need a little water and lots of sun. if the plant is in a container, let it dry out between waterings (just feel the soil with your fingers). if you have it in your garden, make sure it has lots of drainage and only suppliment water when you start to see a little shrinkage in the succulent stems. that's its way of telling you it's thirsty.
Aloe Vera is like a Cati but it does not like direct sun light.Make sure you let it dry out between watering's, and do not over water. Hope this helps.
