Cost of living is very low compared to other cities in the county. Don't move to Columbus move to one of the suburbs the rent may be an extra 100 bucks a month but you won't have to deal with the inner city B.S. it's not the most exciting place to live, but it is a good city. the northern parts of columbus are the best-westerville, worthington, easton, new albany. great OSU fans, football, Crew-soccer and bluejackets-hockey. short north is cool.

I live an hour/half north east from columbus ,and have visited columbus on several ocassions . It's a pretty big city. I personally don't like the crime that comes with the big population, one thing is good they have the best hospitals. thats about all i know ...
im from there... its really nice... hell of a lot cleaner and safer than cleveland... go watch teh buckeyes play sometime

well fist of all it is Columbus, second it is like any other major metropolitan area. Crime, Drugs and alike.
We lived in Columbus Ohio in 1990, when the US government evacuated us from invaded Kuwait. It was a lovely city to live in - relatively cheaper than most cities - talking about rents of apartments. a lot of good deals on groceries, and this was important to us as we didn't have much money anyway.
The people of Columbus were very generous. The Columbus Star did a news item on our family and we couldn't believe the number of people that donated gifts.. there were so many gifts and all very useful.. that we didn't have to buy anything to furnish our home. We have wonderful memories of the place and the warm people.
I think it is fairly easy to get around in compared to other cities that I have been to. There is a lot to do and the people are friendly.
Quintessential Middle America. Natives carry no discernable accents as do many areas around the country. Big rivalry between Ohio State University and Michigan - especially when OSU's Homecoming game (football)is with Michigan. Leow's Ohio Theatre might well be the most beautiful theatre in the nation.

It is the best of all of the cities discovered by Christopher Columbus. I don't know how he was able to sail there. Must have been tough going.
