Besides the hisorical society (they want me to pay expenses) are there any other places interested (around Indiana) in tearing down old (100+ yr old) log home for the material or rebuild the structure. I hate to just tear it down and destroy it

I know some companies specialize in taking apart old barns and making them into homes in New England, they usually would not charge for taking it apart if they kept the materials. Perhaps you could search for a company like that. Try the "This Old House" website, they had a company like that on a show a few seasons ago.
