Sprikle moth balls around edge. Or sprinkle blood meal around edge. Or get some wolf and/or cyote scent and spray around garden. If it rains the blood meal or scent will to be reapplied.
Also, you could bait live traps with peanut butter (their favorite food). If you catch any take the trap with squirrel in it several miles away from you and release it. Or if you live in the country try using pellet or .22 gun.
get a cat. better yet, get 20.
Squirrel, when prepared correctly, is a fine meal. I'll leave the meal part up to the TV chefs. first get a long pole or branch thats about as big around as your forearm. then get some solid brass wire thats just under 1/16 inch thick. make a bunch of lasso loops 3 inches in diameter with one end of the wire sticking into the circle a little bit and the other end of the wire sticking out like a tail. attach about 15 of these to your pole in various locations so that a furry critter will have to run through them to run along the pole. lean the pole against a tree so that its a nice angle so the squirrel can run up and down it with relative ease. 45 degrees is good. when the squirrel runs up the pole and through one of the loops it will catch on the little end of the wire sticking into the loop, causing it to tighten. this will cause the squirrel to fight it, just making the noose tighter and resulting in death. more will see the noise and come to see whats going on, possibly resulting in their deaths also.
