Just take here there for a trip and never bring her back.
You can try, but honey, California is SOOOOOOOO EXPENSIVE, so unless your Mom (and cuz you didn't mention Dad I am guessing your're in a single-parent family) has a high-paying career (in which case she may not want to leave THAT either) it's not going to be easy to afford housing (or much of anything else) here. We're all here trying to figure where else we can go, because it's too pricey for most of us...but sorry, darlin', MN wouldn't be on my list either! So even though it's not a dream, and it is a beautiful state...living here is not like it looks on The O.C. either, unless you've got a lot of money! Good luck!
Take her for a holiday to Santa Monica. Go for a ride up the coast to Malibu. Stay in nice hotels and treat her to nice healthy californian dinners. she will come round.
San Diego sunsets are the best, the people are nice, and the weather is almost all ways great. Whoever sung " It never rains in sunny southern California" Was wrong this year but summer is on its way I can feel it here in La Jolla.
Plus san diego gets snow in our local mountains, not much, and thats something you dont here about us much
I definatly recamend a trip here, tell her she can thaw-out in our wonderfull sunshine
As for reality and dream land, well I haven't been dreamin
much, life here takes just as much work as it does in most places...
...So if you have $$ savved or can sell some property to get here I recammend it. I'm glad my great grand parents moved here.
