Briggs and Stratton tiller turns but wont fire (model 92502 type 0677 01 code 6808062.?

I have tried starter fluid to get it to start but it wont fire at all. I know its an older model tiller and I know a little about small engine repairs. Are there steps that I can take to figure out what the problem is a fix it?

From what the numbers say (if its the original shroud) it has points.... replace the point and condensor (they are under the flywheel) and gap em at .20
OR just get rid of em and replace them with a conversion kit.... it sounds like your not getting spark, or atleast not enough. You can check (plug grounded to the head and pull it over and check for a strong spark)

dont use starting fluid if you wanna keep your tiller cuz it can blow it up
