How do I flatten a rose? I want to make a bookmark out of it.?

Its a first rose i've recieved from someone and I want to keep it forever.

that's so sweet. put the rose between layers of newspaper to absorb moisture. put heavy books,or similar objects on top to weigh it down. keep in a cool, dry place. it takes AT LEAST a week to dry. check several times for mildew. change paper if needed. when dried, laminate it to make a bookmark.

spray it with hairspray and then put between pages of thick book
Just place it under a heavy book for a couple of hours. It will be flattened
put it in a book for a week
Find a lot of yellow pages books and other heavy books. Wedge the rose in the book, and put as many heavy books on top of it as you can. Time will do the rest..
Place it between two pieces of wax paper and Iron it.
