how can i rent an apt with a evocation on my credit report. I had nothing to do with.?
Answers:
Most apartment complexes are run by property management companies and they usually run a credit check on prospective tenants. Many duplexes and four-family apartment buildings are owned and rented by private individuals. Many times the owner resides in one of the units. Usually, these landlords do not have access to the credit bureaus and are not able to run a credit check on you. They may require you to fill out an application that contains questions pertaining to your creditworthiness, but it is usually a bluff.
Good luck with your search.
Other answers:
don't go through a realtor. apply for hud housing and
explain what happened. go to an atty. try to get the landlord off your back. so many people take in room -mates and it ends up such a mess...we have both been managers of apt- complexes, and nice mobile home parks. most depending , where you live now, big city or what? will ask for a deposit, so give the deposit and one months rent. if you explained in your question more i probably could of given you a better answer.

get a letter from the previous landlord, and get it removed from your credit history
