I have HUGE black ants crawling around the outside of my house. Are these carpenter ants? How do I get rid?

I also see smaller black ants with wings. Are these related to the big ones?

Lowe's home improvement store (and others, I'm sure) sells a pesticide labeled for carpenter ants. It also works for termites, and is sold near the Round-Up and Sevin dust. Good luck to you!
Those are carpenter ants. Take care of them now...or they can reek havok on your home. The ones with wings can be queens, or just flying ants.
