Are you a ravenous gift ripper opener or a dainty, save the paper type?

I treat the wrapping paper like it's the pull cord on a lawnmower and try to tear it off in one big whoosh.

Answers:
The removal of wrapping paper is a thinly-wrapped personality test. Wrappologists agree that the Lawnmower Pull-cord Type of unwrapper is impulsive, capricious, and prone to make-out sessions in public parks. Such an unwrapper is dangerous in the extreme, a candidate for bungee jumping from large Doppler radar and eating blow fish whilst attempting handstands on the toilet seat.

Now, the Sunday Driver Type of unwrapper is methodical, thoughtful, and prone to make-out sessions on beds of rose petals. These unwrappers are predictable to the point of nausea, candidates for crunching numbers in dingy backrooms and ironing shirts whilst perusing the New York Times. They make us yawn, yes, but their folded and creased wrapping paper may be reused for years to come.

I, myself, am the third type of unwrapper, the Homicidal Maniac Type. We HMTs seek the bloodiest path to opening a package, often employing chainsaws, samurai swords and machetes in the act of unwrapping. My most daring unwrap was just last year on my birthday. Using a DeWalt Heavy-Duty Reciprocating Saw with a keyless blade clamp, I sawed through a gift of gummy bears, "lost control" and "accidentally" clipped off Aunt Mary's ear.

It was glorious.

Me too. I don't see a point in keeping wrapping paper. I have enough junk already. What do I need with shiny paper? Bah.
I rip it to shreds! he-he.. its funner that way!
Depends on the occasion.
If it's a special gift, I'm careful. If it's Christmas, I tear right into it.
I'm ten.Take a wild guess.I rip the paper of course.It's fun!
Save the paper type. It drives my hubby and my kids crazy, which is why I do it. I enjoy the anticipation of finding out what is wrapped in the package, but they don't! They like to rip open the paper and see what's inside right away.
I rip open the package...I'm more interested in what is underneath the paper
rip it, it drives my aunt crazy because she buys the expensive paper, but I love it.
I usually tear into it. But if it looks like they have spent painstaking hours to wrap it and make it look extra special then i take it a little slower. After all it is really the gift and the giver that's important, not saving the paper. It could be wrapped in newspaper for all i care. All i want is what's from the heart of the giver.
I am the dainty save the paper type even though I dont use it to wrap up other gifts. I may throw it away later.
It's been so long since I've got a gift..why don't you send me one so I can honestly answer this question!
I really don't like presents but I'm sure I'd like yours.
Welp, my girlfriends like to give me presents in those little gift bags, so one doesn't really get to tear into much there. Sometimes my daughter makes her own wrapping paper, so I very carefully open it and save the amazing paper. If and when I get a chance to actually open a present by then I am a ravenous gift opener!
i like small charges of black powder
i like to tear it slowly. i like to stay in the moment. i love the anticipation of it.
i do the same thing that you do. What is the point of opening it nicely. Are you really going to really reuse it or something? It all ends up in the trash
Definitely not dainty! But I do like to take my time when it comes to presents. At Christmas we go around in a circle and open each gift one at a time...youngest to oldest. I love it!
lol i usually ripped it brutally to see what's inside =)
lol...thanks for the laugh dude.. where's my wife she would love this question... I with you man.. I just rip that sucker open. now my wife... she loves to hold on to the paper... look at awwwww... such nice wrapping paper. =)
I am a dork and take it off slowly and drive people nuts.
I never save the paper...I just love surprises.

You are cute, btw.
I like to rip it off as well, more fun that way.
