i am such a procrastinator. so what i do to modivate myself is set aside one day a week to do your "chores" and before you can play your fav. video game or watch your fav. show or go out with your friends you have to do your chores it works for me. every sunday i do all my chores. and if you don't have enough time set two half days.
I have a problem with that as well. I have tried many things. Accountability seems to work best for me. If you are accountable to something as simple as a checklist or, even better, someone who you can be accountable too. A buddy who will check up on you. You could do the same for them.
Also, a competitive edge motivates me better. Who got done faster and better. That usually applies to excercise for me though.
Yes, sometimes, but if you call a friend and tell them that you are going to do the chore, more than likely you will end up doing it. Sometimes it helps if you have something to look forward to, to motivate you to do a task.
I am like that today. It is raining and kind've gloomy today so I wanna just chille. I usually do laundry and clean house on Sat. but there is NO WAY this is happening today. :op~~~~
Awwww..get out of the zone! I do it by doing my task, then rewarding myself, then going back to do more, then rewarding myself again! (I'm worse than a kid!)
I just weeded the garden and it took forever, so now my reward is answering a few questions. See? not bad eh? ;)
