Terro ant killer. It is in an orange box you can buy it at Lowes or Walmart. I use the gel, it is safe in the kitchen too!

Bengal ant and roach spray. My husband swears by it. He was an OSHA guy at one time.
OSHA=Occupational Safety & Health Association.
Little black ants? Yeah got em myself. They've gotten up into my roof and pretty much have a nest roughly the size of my house. I can't stop em. I've tried! The good part is that I know exactly where all the spiders in my house are. wherever a spider sets up shop, little black dots in the area. Bring out das boot! Either learn to live with em, or call an exterminator and pay out the wazoo. You could also try some of those Do It Yourself pest control places. Basically they sell you the chemicals and rent out the delivery device and you spray it around. gonna need to get up in your roof. Also check if there are any trees or bushes that touch your house. Mine are coming off a huge oak tree. I'm not getting rid of that oak tree to TRY and kill some stupid little ants.
Find out where they're coming in. Rub the area liberally with Skin So Soft bath oil, from your local Avon Representative. This stuff works on repelling many insects. I guess it gets on their legs, making it harder for them to navigate. The won't go where it's applied. Also, if you find out what they're after, eliminating it, they'll go on to greener pastures. Bugs will only go where they're getting benefits. <*)))><
you can mix sugar with boric acid and put it some place where they go but your not in contact with. like behind the couch or under the fridge. they eat it up and take it back to their nest. then they die. you can buy it @ any walmart in the pesticide section.
Its all about powderd soap... like dish washer, or washing mechine soap.
The sugar and boric acid really does work. I found the boric acid in the pharmacy section, as it is also used as an antibiotic. Ants were gone in couple of weeks. I tried this after noticing that many commecial ant/roach killers contained boric acid.
