How safe are badgers around small children?
Is this true?
Are there any other safety issues I should be aware of before giving small childen pet badgers? We're talking 7-11 here.

Is this question for real??? ummmmm oookkkk.how about ...NO! Badgers get very aggressive and can carry diseases like Rabies ( which dogs will also get, white foam coming from the mouth )not to mention they have sharp as razor blade claws that could tear up a Humans skin ever so easily and would definitely hurt a child!
Other answers:
Badgers can be aggressive when they are annoyed, plus they have the reputation of passing TB to cows, thats why farmers don't like them near their cattle.
They look cute and cuddly but they are wild animals and may not be the best pets.

If you want to see little kids bleeding give them a badger.
go to a zoo and take a look at the disposition of a badger.
agressive and mean and big teeth.
badgers, as with any wild animal, can carry all kinds of disease and parasites. it is important to teach children to respect nature and wild creatures by observing them from a distance and not interacting with them. encouraging kids to pet wild creatures just reinforces that its ok to touch wild animals. down the road, a kid could end up getting bitten by a less "tame" animal.
badgers have nasty attitudes and dispositions as well. i mean, there's a reason why schools use them as a mascot...they are tenacious. you dont see any schools with "puppies" as their mascot... cause the arent mean.
Heck, lets just skip the whole animal thing and give the kids each a gallon of Gasoline and a book of matches. Maybe none of them will figure out how to strike the match.
Might be safer.
