what should I do if...?
Answers:
The guy is a jerk. He has a pond all to himself, and there he will stay, all by himself.
I also wouldn't suggest sending him an anonymous letter saying high levels of mercury have been dumped into the pond so the fish are now toxic.
Other answers:
It's his lake!
He can do what he likes and stop people going near it.
You must know this really, it's quite obvious I think.
Get over it.

Push him in the pond if he pisses you off, then go fish elsewhere!
If it is his lake, then he can say u cant go in it. Maybe you can work something out with him if he's open to negotiate.
take over some outdoor magazines and ask him/her if you can clean up a little around the pond-go for it-it might still be yours with a little effort. and if ya said nething bad/ please apologize 1st
fish somewhere else
If there are any trees around close to the pond then do what I use to do called limb line fishing. Tie some string on a limb with a hook and bait and toss it into the water and after some time slip back and see if you have anything on your hook.PS don't get caught.
Tough break dude, Obviously he's a selfish a**hole. Maybe you can check w/ your local DNR and see if they can help w/ the situation.
Have you tried telling him you're catch and release only?
Unfortunately, it sounds like there's not a whole lot you can do. If he really owns it, he has say over his own property. I agree with whoever said that if you said something mean to apologize... besides that, try to be a good neighbor, see if there's another lake nearby or maybe near a friend's house to use, and leave the cranky old coot to his own devices.
If you can prove that you have been fishing in the pond for eight years then you should take him to court for impeding your human rights.it may work..if it doesn't then you could always do what autyauna suggest.
i think u hav to kill him
Be nice to him, bring him something or better yet find out what he likes, you might have a chance there.
blissman, thats what we need, more lawsuits. that is too many people`s first answer. united states of the offended, seems like anymore.
you either have to buy the lake from him, or fish somewhere else.
Get over it and find a new pond?
