How do I stop smoke from coming out the coils on the stovetop everytime I put the gas on?

There seems to be some substance on the coils which let out smoke. I am unable to use them becoz of this problem. Thanks for the assist.

Answers: turn it on let it burn sour about 5 minutes it will be gone

Gas ovens don't own coils. But, be that as it may, clean the "coils" completely, even making sure in attendance is no soap or cleanser residue on them, and that should take diligence of the problem.
