Full price offer has and how long on the market do not correlate. The owner may insist on a full price offer, regardless of how long it has been on the market. Or, the buyer may "just have to have this house." Whatever the reason, if the owner is not in a hurry, they can wait until their price is met.

In California during the crazy period a house could last for only hours before a full price offer, followed by above asking price bidding wars.
