I have little small ants in my house. any suggestions on how to get rid of them?!?

Use ant poison on a small piece of cardboard in various places. If you can see where they are getting in, try to put it over there. They will eat it and bring it back to their colony, and it will die. Sealing up any openings in your house is good too.
They are probably what we call sugar ants. They are attracted to anything sweet and sticky. Although I have seen them in potted plants. You need to clean the counters well, put away the food that is out and then spray their trail into your house with ant killer.
Dilute one quarter cup dish liquid with one and a half cup hot or warm water, place in a spray bottle and spray them.
Bait traps are ok, boric acid doesn't work too well, the best solution I found is spraying the outside of foundation of building with Malthione. Then you don't need anything indoors. Malthione concentrate, and sprayers, can be found at most home centers.
