What's the rule?

What's the etiquette behind tipping furniture delivery guys when you already paid a delivery fee? For example, should I have tipped the guys anything for bringing up my $2000 bed upstairs and setting it up after I spent that much and paid a $70 delivery charge?

Answers:
I tell my clients not to tip the delivery team, offer them a cool drink instead. Unless they do something extraordinary, we feel that the delivery company is paid for the service and is paying their employees adequately from the fees they charge. You are lucky that the charge was only $70 because in our market it ranges from $100-150. I'm sure the delivery people don't like that I tell my clients not to tip them, but it is our policy to come in at exactly what we bid or less.

Other answers:
I've never tipped furniture delivery people. That's what you pay a delivery fee for, and they get a salary.
