Some nonspecific counsel on combi boilers?

How much power/capacity do I need etc?

Answers:    Two separate elements to this. Firstly it desires to be able to boil all your rads and second it requirements to be able to bestow you the hot water you have need of. Usually unless you live in a enormously large house even the tremendously smallest combi will have more power than needed to steam your rads. A 24 kw boiler will do 20 rads comfortably.

Now the issue of hot water. Unless the combi have a store of water they can produce between 8 litres for the smallest and 15 litres or so for the largest hot river with delta 35 degree. Delta 35 degrees medium that it takes anything the temp of the cold water is and boosts it by 35 degree. Obviously that is smaller quantity effective surrounded by winter than summer so in winter you sometimes enjoy to run the tap slower to draw from hot water.

With the larger combis you will massively often stipulation to have a fundamentally large gas pipe run to it to provide the gas at the correct pressure especially if you are siting the boiler far away from the meter. This is normally neglected by poor installers and can lead to issues when the boiler is repaired or serviced for the first time.

The issue self that the good engineers who exam these things turn off your boiler because of it creating a potential hazard mainly to the gas hob. Running the hot hose down while the gas hob is on, if the pipe work is too small can suck the flame out of the gas hob, leaving it leak gas when the tap is turned bad again. This is especially true for modern pre-mix condensing boilers.

Apologies typed quickly 24 KW will do 14 rads comfortably assuming relatively standard distribution of rooms.

Combis give continuous hot wet as they heat hose down instantaneously. So unless they go wrong you don't run out. It is the flow rates that change with the sizes.
Need more information. . How big of a place are you wanting to power? are you looking at electrical age group, or just steam? any other tasks?

Engineering thermodynamics was a really fun class. . .
use spot cream to reove those boils lol
