You don't say where on earth the table is situated. If it is otside, it could be owl pellets, but they tend to own fur in them, the simply opaque sticky stuff inside sounds approaching slug or snail. Salt around the edge of the table, if it does'nt transpire with brackish there, you hold an answer, but then you enjoy to find where the blighters are coming from! My guess is gap under skirting board, attain the silicone gun out! lol
