Carpet Mold?

Ok my carpet be drench last Thursday and presently my blue carpet is brown. The sites that I hold looked on says that mold can't grow on dry synthetic mat but nothing give or take a few a carpet that be drenched. I have used the shampooer near out water added only just to suck up the water. Well it is still squelchy and it feels sticky and have a little smell to it. I want to know before I verbs it up is that if mold can grow? I don't have a great deal of money to replace so saving if I can is a big plus, also near is concrete under the runner. I have a family circle to take of and want what is best for their form. So for any who knows of mold is it possible for my hearth rug to be getting it?

Answers:    Best thing will be to dry the mat by hanging it somewhere. if explicitly not possible you can spread for a time vineger where it is raining that will stop the molds from spreading if it is mold.
Absolutely, and the underlayment/padding is soaked. It will remain that way until you verbs up the carpet. Mold will verbs to multiply.

Once removed the concrete will have to dry throughly.
Fans can accomplish that.

If the runner is worth salvaging, you will necessitate to call someone similar to Steamatic Or a Restoration Co.

This will entail that a mechanic verbs the carpet professionally at the seam, so it can be reinstalled. New padding and installation, cleaning will not be cheap.
There is other a possibility that some may shrink and be discolored.

Your home owners insurance may/should cover this. They may insist on cleaning but that really may not be satisfactory.
If the runner is not too old, it's energy will be shortened as a result of flooding.

Good luck.
First off how much mat is wet?

And secondly, how did it go and get so wet?

If I be to replace it, and I most likely would, move about to a carpet shop and ask for discontinued styles, colors, bad shade or remnants.

it is true, mold cannot grow on clean dry mat but if a pipe busted you might have more vandalize than just the mat, drywall, for example, might need to be replaced. I would be sure to check out the insurance replacement.

It might cost ya something but it would be better contained by the long run! carpet is intensely cheap compared to other flooring.
