Does anyone know how much it costs for electricity to run an apartment sized washer and dryer through one load
Answers:
5 loads a week is about 90kWh --> 1/5 of 90 is 18KWh for dryer
5 loads a week is about 84KWh --> 1/5 of 84 is 16.8Kwh for washer.
1 load would be 18+16.8 = 34.8 kWh x $/kWh = Cost
Other answers:
It depends on multiple variables...Hot or cold H20, how big the load is, Timed or sensor dry, the size of your machine...
I would suggest getting the make and model of your units and going on-line to the manufacturer and look at ratings.
Good luck

Take lisafiddlr formula and then times the amount of Kwh by what you pay per kilowatt hour. You will find this info on your power bill. Last I checked it was around 8 cents per kilowatt hout where I live. Also check the wattage of the appliances. Her figures seem high but she could be dead on.
